Description
Today, many of the buildings on St. Elmo’s Main Street are boarded up, but they serve as reminders of a rich and colorful past. While Denver and South Park locomotives were chugging through town on their way to the Alpine Tunnel, jack trains were busy hauling ore down from mines like the famous Mary Murphy. Now visitors from all over the country come to see one of Colorado’s most intact ghost towns.
